Car fire & Special Ops rope rescue on the A
NICEVILLE — A contractor working near a manhole fell into it Monday morning at around 11 a.m.
A group of 15 Okaloosa County special operations firefighters(FWBFD A-shift), trained in confined space rescue, assisted Niceville firefighters in the 45-minute rescue. The man was eventually removed from the hole via another underground exit by FF Morgan & FF Corrigan.
The man injured his ankle in the 20-foot fall and was taken to Twin Cities Hospital.
Also last shift T-6 had a small car fire and managed to get a couple of photos…
