“Downtown” St-6
The above logo “Billy Bowlegs” was designed in 2009 in homage to the Legendary Pirate. Folklore goes back hundreds of years about this adventurer, wanderer, scoundrel, pirate extraordinaire, and notorious bad boy, William Augustus Bowles, affectionately known as Billy Bowlegs. A City wide festival celebrates “Billy Bowlegs Festival” every year during the month of June.
Station 6 is located in the downtown area on 5 Hollywood Blvd. Two blocks north of Hwy 98 off of Beal Pky.
TRUCK CO. 6 staffed with 4, a Rescue (Rescue 6) staffed with 2, Special Operations Unit-Heavy Rescue manned with 2(paid county employees during the day 8-4:30) and crossed manned by T6 (after 4:30PM), and a Battalion Chief (BATTALION 6).
Station 6 was remodeled in 2006 and has been on the same location for more than 30 years now. The men and women of local 2601 are proud call this station home!
